Manga Download

I'm just going to go out and say it, I don't think the Manga Download section in the mint market is something we should have, this way it seems like the forum is losing focus of what it was intended for. To share otome game related manga we can just have a topic on it in the anime/manga discussion and provide download links straight from the scanlators. If we're sharing personal otome game related doujinshi, shouldn't it just be in the everything else section?

Yeah, I think we are good as long as we use either the 'Everything Else D/L' section or just the 'Manga and Anime Discussion' section. Actually manga might fit into the 'Fanworks' section too. It's not that different from using an original work to make an AMV. Either way, we it seems like we can fit the otome game based manga in one of the sections we already have.

I'll go out and say it, that I was the one who requested it as a place for scanlators to upload their otome game based manga scans? And the biggest reason for it was to avoid aggregators by being able to place scans in the Market where they will be hidden. And while it does fall under Everything Else there were issues that Sakimichi and I discussed, and certain restrictions with how the forums works, which made it necessary to make a new spot. While discussions can still be facilitated through the fanworks section, this makes it so there's a spot for scanlations too.

I understand why Sakimichi made a new section for the otome manga scanlations.

Forum limitations:

Oh okay. I understand this. I wasn't thinking of the gold issue at all. Sorry for the trouble. I was just trying to think of ways to keep the number of sections lower, but I can see why the otome manga needs it's own section.

Alright, I can understand that now but if there is English work done by scanlators can we make sure people aren't posting it without proper credit?

That does open something of a new barrel of fish. And I'm not sure how we'd police it.

But I was under the impression that permissions needed to be given before posting? Could always have people link back to where it was hosted originally? Doesn't help with raws, but, most posting is done with something of an honor system.
