Your first otome game?

We all started from somewhere,so which was you first otome game?
Mine is Date Warp.I found it accidentally on youtube,while surfing for music .

Huh, I don't remember which one I played first but I remember what got me into them! I had no idea that there were games in which you could form a relationship with one of the other characters till I played Dragon Age: Origins. And I only got that game 'cause it had dragon in the title. XD I remember being given the option to flirt with Alistair and I was thinkin', "Did I jus' flirt with a game character? And is he flirting back?!" Anyways, it amused me so I ended up searching for more games in which you could form relationships and that's how I ran into otomes.

Wow, I've never been into games targeted for boys
But that sounds really interesting~ I might check that out soon

Not really - it was released in 2010 .The developer is Hanako Games btw.

The first otome game that I've played was, Tokimeki Memorial GS1 for NDS.
It was the most complicated love simulation yet addictive at the same time. I've never been so desperate to aim for the perfect husbando material... xD

Glad to find a kindred spirit. I was oh so pleasantly surprised when I realized I could have romance with that adorable Alistair and be an epic hero at the same time.

If its an otome game....It was My Forged Wedding for me. My friend gushed over how hot the guys were so I couldn't resist.

I remember that mine was La Corda d'Oro. Running around and catching the fairies took a long time, but I enjoyed raising the stats and finding out little tidbits about the guys from everyone else you could talk to. Plus the music is beautiful, all that classical music... -starts fingering Le Petit Chien randomly-

Haha, Hiiro no Kakera I played it such a long time ago, I don't really remember anything from it...

I look at that one and wonder if I should play it- some people I know say it's great, some people really dislike it. Do you remember what you thought about it?

That it was way too long, complicated language-wise and a bit depressing at times... ^^; But the CGs were wonderful! It's worth a try, I think.

Ahaha, DAO got you into otome games? That's pretty funny ^_^ I used to be a HUGE Alistair fan so I feel proud XD

I don't remember the exact manner in which I discovered otome games, but somehow (probably through a manga series) I ended up on a forum called My NeoRomance. It was a place dedicated to otome games. The idea of games where I could "capture" guys sounded really fun, and the descriptions of some of the plots were interesting too. Now because I've always been drawn to fantasy and mystery I noticed Heart no Kuni no Alice right away. That ended up being my first otome game. It will always be special for me, and I'm glad I can look back at it and still think of it as just as enjoyable as it was the first time I played it.

Lol, I remember trying to figure out how to import that game back when I was a newb. Otome games were the reason I started buying things from overseas.

I don't think Yin Yang X-Change counts, so I'll have to go with Yo-Jin-Bo.

I don't know if any of the Harvest Moon games count since they're more farming sims than otome, but other than that... It was probably either Re: Alistair ++ (oh man, I'm sure I spelled that wrong) or TMGS1 for the NDS.

Though I didn't start playing more games until recently. Though due to my limited language skills... I usually stick with the smart phone apps that are translated into English...

I'm not sure... honestly, I haven't been a part of this stuff for awhile so the first game I can say that I played while knowing it was an otome game was by android.

I guess I counted Tokimeki Memorial GS1 as my first, but now that I think about it. It was probably Harvest Moon A Girl's Life (though I played the boy one first xD)

The only way I came to know about otome games was through BL games. I accidentally mistook a BL game for an otome game and imagine my surprise when I realized my mistake. After playing all the BL games I could, since they were so addicting and good (*/ω＼*), I moved on to otome games.

The first otome game I played was by sake visual RE:Allistair++. Really simple but cute and it led me to a whole world of otome.

Mine was Kiniro No Corda....I was watching the anime first and I heard there is a game about it...so I just check it out...during that time I din't even know what is Otome game...LOL...

Heart no Kuni no Alice. After finishing the manga and reading some spoilers in the MangaFox forum, I wanted to play the original game really badly. It's also what motivated me to start learning Japanese and playing visual novels in general.

Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side: 1st Love Plus for me... Really don't remember how I got into them though... I think I was annoyed at how everything was centered around guys, and came across the anime a few years back. I looked it up, stumbled across this game, decided to play it and now I'm completely hooked on otome games hehe...

tokimeki 1st love for me too...although i have played harvest moon before, i dont know though if it can be considered as an otome. so after i finished harvest moon and i got addicted to it i searched the internet for new games and i came across tokimeki. i didnt like it at first since it was so plain and as a player of rpg games such as dragon age i kinda missed moving my characters. eventually i realized what an otome game is and i became too addicted with it.

Same here, TMGS 1 too... Himuro-sensei and Kijo-kun! Those are the only two that I like most, I think. Ahhh brings back memories (●´艸｀).
