Amnesia Translation Project

Hello There~ I am kyuuichii from Hanataba Translation.   
Hanataba was born almost a week ago. I met Matsuyuさん at this forum, she still on her Japanese course in university. we were talking about translation and she want to join a project with me. So, we decide to make a translation project. After that, we met Kouryuuさん and kohineさん, they both agreed to become our proofreader. We already discussing, which game that will be translate and become our first project. Then, tadaaa~ we'd pick Amnesia as our first project.

Amnesia Translation Project

I know, out there many team which make Amnesia as their project, but we will do our best and keep translating Amnesia as our project. Amnesia has many lines and conversation, this is a long game, the script really long especially Ikki's script. He has the long script in this game. Our goal is to translate Amnesia script from Japanese into English. We wish to make a patch in the future, but for now, we will be focusing in script translation. Don't get me wrong, we will gladly accept someone as hacker.

We're still young, and because of that we want to spread our translation project and welcoming anyone who want to join us. For now, we still looking for:

• Translator: translate text from Japanese to English
  
• Script Editor: edit the structure of the English script and create a correlation between it and the original (Japanese) version, including the font-type
  
• Hacker: take/re-insert the files and create the official game patch
  
• Proofreader: must be fluent in English to create any grammatical errors [Position Temporarily Closed]

Unfortunately, I can't help out with the big stuff (translating and hacking ^^; ), but I can offer to help proofread. I know you already have two people, but I wouldn't mind helping out as well =).

I will gladly accept you, can you correct grammar nee? Because this is our biggest problem. Ah, I just want to ask you, what language you know except English and Japanese?

Glad I could be of any help for Amnesia ^-^. I'm very fluent in English, so grammar should be a piece o' cake ~ . I'm only worried about text-tone, which I might not get correct since I can't really understand Japanese or the connotations certain words have   .

I don't really know any Japanese, but I am going into my third year of Chinese in high school (I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near good at it, though...).

That's it! The text tone~ of course I know the text situation on my native language, but it's very hard to explain in English. I hope you will understand, and can make all the sentences become reasonable to each other.

I am glad to be on this project. So yay for Hanataba Translation! -cheers- Though the issue about the hacker/programmer is still there..we can continue until we finish the script and find some people to do that. >_>;

I am still having major issues deciding a user alias. For your information Wisp, Hanataba Translation tend to use flower names for our aliases..so yeah. ._.;Wait a minute...-stares at site- You guys aren't using those aliases like we said? XD -pouts-

Well if you scroll into [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.],you can see that we were going to use just a flower for the group name. But it was either to short and stuff. ^)^;

^_^; That is the issue..see? Unless we delete the wordpress and redo it..I don't see how we can rename ourselves.
The reason we picked flower names so it was a theme...and not a bit random right? It also suit the group name.

ah right! we decided to take flower name for aliases at the site. You can't change your username, but you can change your display name.

I'd change my display name, so when I post or comment from now on my name will become 'ayame'. But the old comment and post can't change.

I choose Suzuran ( 百合 ), lily of the valley. The meaning is 'sweet'.

I choose that because I love the flower then please call me suzuran or suzu at the site :p

Are you translators fluent in Japanese?

For now we only had two translator, me and matsuyukixirion. She is currently in her 4 years of Japanese course, and I only learn Japanese at my high school then I taught it by myself~
