OMG same here! I remember bawling my eyes out from the finales of both of them!! Crying Crying 
AIR, CLANNAD and Chrono Crusade made me choke up quite a lot too. Crying 

Wow, we must have the same tastes in anime or something! :D Do you have any recommendations? I haven't watched anime properly since PMMM.

Umm.. I recommend you to watch Grave of Fireflies if you still didn't watch it  smile for TRAGEDY movie. :D

It's interesting that Angel Beats, AIR and CLANNAD were all by the same person...Maeda Jun must love making sad tearjerker series. Crying

Oh, I've heard about that movie! Crying I was planning to watch it a while ago but didn't find the time to do so. Thank for the rec! wink

Oh my god, the tears I cried with Madoka's episode 10...
The end of ef - a tale of melodies. also left me in tears. And Fate/Zero too Crying  (although both are very good and you should check them out!)

From all the anime I've watched Ai no Kusabi is the only one that made me cry . I'm talking about the original anime not the remake , which i didn't like to be honest .
