Do you guys have a lot of cons where you're at? Do you go to them? More importantly do ya rep for your fav characters while there??

Its kinda scanty down here but I see it starting to pick up, because there's one in the main town I keep missing out but not this year >.<

Anyway~ Here's a promo vid they did last year.

My friend was the vocoloid and sasuke~ ^^

I'll post pics of my cosplay if I ever finish it @_@

We get about 3 conventions a year in Melbourne
I have cosplayed once
But I haven't had the time since to organise a costume XD

I'm still trying to figure out if I should just do a generic cosplay because I won't have time to finish my keyblade and costume ;~;

I wish I had a pic my first cosplay was Mikuru Asahina from Melancholy of Haruhi ^^
Someone even showed up as haruhi :O and we had a moment <3 <(;~;<)

I've been meaning to try it at least once.
I have ~~horribly~~ chubby enough cheeks and the tiny frame to fit any "cutesy" character, I guess.

Admittedly, I'm making every effort to go, even if just as a spectator. But its fun when you cosplay and people recognize you~~

I'm excited to see more cosplayers out here. :3

Normally I tend to cosplay Jrock/pop and at an upcoming convention I intend to do my /first/ anime cosplay. xD;

Creating a fictional character's costume...Is much harder than I anticipated. So kudos to all you lovely people who have done it before.

I'm been to cons on the East coast. First time on west coast this year.

I started out doing Crossplays mainly now I do couple-plays xD
I have a few ones that I like and the rest *ahem* I wish I could redo.

I always try to cosplay when I go to a convention. Went to Otakon '10 without a costume and I felt so outta place haha.

Sometiems I try to do different characters for the different days ^^;

Alright everyone lets get these cosplay pictures going x3

I'll be honest, I've been cosplaying for years so I have quite a bit of cosplays....But I suppose I will begin with my favorite, and in my personal opinion, best cosplay.

Riku, of Phantasmagoria, Material Pain version (Jrock)
Due to finances and the complexity of the outfit, I'd say I had to span it out over a year...?

Ah...Not the best to show off my outfit itself. But I did all the studs and grommets
There is pleather ontop of the snake skin pleather. Just. Ugh. This outfit was a nightmare. xDDD

And hopefully next ACEN (2014) I will be making a cosplay comparable to it (these cosplays are wallet busters ;3; so i have to spread them out, 'ya know? All the fabric, studs, etc adds up e0e )

I have only cosplayed once and unfortunantly I don't have pictures of it. I was Kakuzu from the Akatsuki...just with glasses, XDXD

Maybe when it gets more popular and maybe when I get more budget.
Also, I haven't really found wigs anywhere near where I'm from so so much for that.
I have seen a couple cosplayers (their clothes were decent, really, someone came as Cloud Strife complete with a sword) in my city - can you believe that - I'll go stalk them to figure out how they go about cosplaying.

A cosplayer in our group buys wigs from ebay and styles them differently ^^ so maybe you could try that. The quality she buys are good and fairly cheap.
