Playing PSP Games on PC:
First thing you should know it that yes, it is possible, second being there is a high chance you will need to have Open GL 2.0 on your computer to run them. If you have an older computer like mine then you may not be able to. But try anyway cause you never know.

This emulator works wonders, and you can change the settings if needed to make it run better on your computer. This emulator isn't just for PC, it also supports Android, Windows, iOS, Blackberry, MacOSX, Linux and a few others. All can be seen in the [downloads] section.

This emulator isn't as high as a rating as PPSSPP but it still works. I am unsure if it supports Mac or Linux but it does Windows.

This does support Windows, Linux and Mac. It has the same rating score as PCSP. It can be a finicky to use though.
You need to find the games yourself but if your new to download PSP or games in general then [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] will come in handy. Most of the downloads as well will tell you if it is in JAP or ENG.
Playing Downloaded PSP Games on PSP:
Unfortunately you need a hacked/modded PSP for this. You can't just download a game, connect your PSP to your computer and expect it to work.
If you own a PSP and want it modded, I would highly suggest asking friends you know. There is lots of posts online simply saying "just take this file and put it in the psp directory and viola, modded." but I am pretty sure it doesn't work like that personally knowing someone who mods them.
You also need to make sure you have a decently sized memory card, this apparently also has to be "modded" to be able to play games on. I suggest anything larger than 2BG.
Downloaded PSP Games not Working on PSP:
This is probably because the game isn't patched. Sometimes you don't need to do this but with games that aren't in English, there's a high chance it will have to be. My PSP has the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as so far I haven't had to patch any Japanese or English games with it.
Connecting a PSP to a Computer:
Firstly do you own a PS3? You know that charging cable you use to charge that controller? Well there is a very high chance that it will work on your PSP and the USB end, to your computer. I use this, I also sometimes use the cord from my Western Digital Hard Drive, does the same thing in the end.
I'm unsure if the charging cable from the PS4 will work but you can always try.

I managed to hack Hiiro no Kakera for Nintendo DS, so I'm looking for a proofreader and some crazy translators for this project.
