Also, I haven't really found wigs anywhere near where I'm from so so much for that.
I have seen a couple cosplayers (their clothes were decent, really, someone came as Cloud Strife complete with a sword) in my city - can you believe that - I'll go stalk them to figure out how they go about cosplaying.

Pfffttt, who cares if its popular or not. Make it popular.
With wigs, as it was suggested order them on ebay, there is cosplay. com's wig store, arada wigs. :3 Just depends what you're looking for, 'ya know?

Who should I cosplay hmmmmmmm.....

whoever you want, any character you feel like you want to represent? You don't really have to look like anyone, it's just having that passion for the character! When you have that passion, for what you're cosplaying, I believe you'll carry yourself a lot more... Rather than cosplaying someone random person, just for the looks.
