What is your thoughts on otome games?

So basically I'm asking about the things you like in otome games and the things you hate in them. You can answer however you like long if it's based of otome games (but you can also do it based off visual novels also if you like.) So I would love for you to pur down your own honest feelings! ^w^ Since when I'm older I want to become someone who makes otome games and visual novels so I like to ask people who like them and play them what they like and hate about them.

I dig gorgeous art style. :>   The artist for Amnesia for instance, is a huge plus factor. I also look for comedy in otome games (XD).

Annoying male lead who puts the female lead down and is abusive is just plain annoying. Perhaps that's why I never liked Diabolic Lovers.

dunno, I guess...for me, It's just dating a virtual dreamy character that doesn't exist but only in your imagination. But one thing is true, it sure helps to find the right type of romance you like which obviously is not possible in real life, since life is not a fairy-tale.
I think the another reason I like playing it is you know, a pass-time?

The first thing that definitely got me into otomes and visual novels are dem ikemen and bishies wwwwwww 

what i like about playing is stumbling upon long otome games with amazing storyline like hakuouki i guess lmao i stay away from most android/iphone otomes bc imo i think it lacks storyline and substance??? i did love mm tho bc dem cheritz u never fail me
