[ROUND 1] The Recommendations & Favorites

Hello all!

We all started somewhere, played things we loved (^orregret), now its time to compile them together into recommendations (^{orlisttoavoid}) of your top played otome games! I've started off and I'm quite curious to how you guys rate your stuff!

Dot Kareshi

?: While short the game was amazing! Referencing old J-RPG, Dot Kareshi is probably the most interesting otome game I've ever stumbled upon. It was funny, it was interesting, and the characters were all unique and memorable! The voice actors were damn sexy and the CG's were pretty.   

What's your listing?

The Royal Trap:
10/10
Why: An engaging plot with lots of twists and turns, handsome dudes, surprising bits of humor, and an heroine with brains who can hold her own in a sword fight. Definitely a high water mark in otome gaming, as far as I'm concerned.

The Second Reproduction
10/10
Why:Strong Heroine;small,but lovable male cast;interesting story;heartwarming moments and endings that actually make sense xD.

Storm Lover--Kai!!

A cute dating/time management sim where you get to choose from a large number of guys to spend time with. What really sets this game apart is that you actually get to DATE. Like, you know--be in a relationship? Really rare in otome games, from what I've seen. The バカップル mode is really funny, too. Shameless flirting... So cute!   

This game doesn't have a translation, but the majority of the language is pretty basic. I played it early on in my Japanese studies. When the individual stories come in you might have to break out a dictionary, but those with a basic understanding of romantic/dating sim vocabulary should be able to understand it.

Also: you can make all the guys wear glasses. Megane, ahoy!

Dot Kareshi (I, II, III)

It's a short series, but very enjoyable to say the least. It kinda leaves me with wanting more, but at the same time the content makes the game very satisfying at the end. It's great since it doesn't drag out very much, although I do wish there were more CGs in the game play. It definitely has its quirky moments, doki moments, and heartfelt moments. I really really enjoy the comedy in the games too XD. Definitely a game I recommend to others! The Knight in Dot Kareshi 1 is my favorite among all guys though  

Dandelion - Wishes Brought to You -

Why you should play it:
Dandelion is a story about a young Korean woman who just doesn't know what she wants to do with her life. Even though she constantly works hard at everything she does, she doesn't have any real passion or goals.
Enter 5 animals that randomly show up in her room one morning. Then a few months later, the animals turn into hot guys.
The premise is a little weird, but it's a very emotional story and worth playing.
The heroine is someone I, as a young adult, found relate-able. Still stuck in wanting to please her mother and yet wanting to break away from that at the same time.
Each capturable male character had their own appeal and all of them were more than they first appeared to be.
The characters were likable, the story unfolded slightly differently depending on which route you were on, the art style was cute, and the voice acting was amazing.
Not to mention that all of the routes tie into each other in the bonus section you can unlock after getting each character's ending.
I refuse to give any game a perfect rating, mainly because I'm holding out for something to just sweep me off my feet and make me say "THIS is the best otome game ever," but it just hasn't happened yet.

The company later made Nameless, which someone else had mentioned. That is also an amazing game. A little darker than Dandelion, which can also be shown through an art style that is more mature.

Regardless, both Dandelion and Nameless are great games and worth playing if you have the money to buy them.
