Horror Riddles

Besides reading and eating and playing, I've been engrossed with boggling, creepy riddles. How surprising that is. Anyways, mind sharing your riddles, scary or not? And we'll try to answer it! ^_^

I'll start it off:

In a suicide case, a man hanged himself from the ceiling. Now the room has no furniture at all. No chair, no bed, nothing that the man could step to hang himself except there is a pool of water beneath the hanged man. How did he commit suicide?

*prepares her butcher's knife in case someone uses google, jk*

I would have to say ice is what he used to hang himself

I'm often seen around a lot, referred to many ways,
See me black and you may find misfortune haunts your days.
Tell a thing, that should have been kept quiet, to all around,
Then look inside the sack, there I'm no longer to be found.
Nosiness, prying, snooping, leaves me fearing, full of dread,
For all these things are likely to see me soon lying dead.
These clues combined should start to give a picture, an idea,
Of who or what I am, so can you tell me? Is it clear?

I'd have to say black cat cause black cat means misfortune here and because of the whole 'cat is out of the bag' thing but I dunno if it applies to sack, sigh. But I'm not sure because of the half part of the riddle.

In a Japanese Navy ship, someone was killed at two in the morning. When the captain was asked, he said 'I was sleeping.' When the crew was asked, he said, 'I was on the deck turning the flag upside down.' When the cook was asked, he said, 'I was cooking.' Who was the killer?

Bzzt, bzzt! Nope! ^_^

As far as I have known, cooks really get up early to cook, not sure about 2 am though but they cook early.

The right answer is the crew! Because the Japanese flag only has a big red circle and if you turn it upside down nothing will happen so his alibi was useless.

I know right, I got hooked up too. *^*

Share some riddles too! I have another one.

An old woman crossed the street and a car ran into her, before she diedshe drew a circle on the ground using her blood. And inside the circle was another circle. Inside the smaller circle was an X The police came shortly after. They drew it on a piece of paper and tried to ask the old woman's relatives and friends what the message meant. Nobody knew. One day, they ran into a shaman and decided to ask him. They explained to him what happened, and he said to throw the piece of paper away. The police said that they would pay him a large amount just to know the meaning behind the strange image. So the shaman told them what it meant.

What do you think it meant?

Exactly, I actually think this was just a scary story at first but it came off as a riddle. I dunno.

The man behind says “six” the other man says “three”. He comes in.

A second man knocks at the door. The man behind says “seven” and the other man says “five”. He comes in.

I knock at the door , the man behind says “one”.

What number should I say as to come in ?

Sigh, that only proves that I don't have what it takes to tell scary stories. Double sigh.

I'm not sure, two? I'm basing it on the patter given but there's probably something I'm missing. If I got it incorrectly, don't tell the answer, I'm gonna figure it out.

Another riddle


A man was found dead in his study. He was slumped over his desk and a gun was in his hand. There was a cassette recorder on his desk. When the police entered the room and pressed the play button on the tape recorder they heard: "I can't go on. I have nothing to live for." Then there was the sound of a gunshot. How did the detective immediately know that the man had been murdered and it wasn't a suicide?

So someone would have had to rewind the tape

Depends where he was shot cause if it was in the brain or heart he wouldn't be able to rewind it for he will be dead immediately. Or something like that, the tape is rewind. So that probably gave an idea to detective Conan. -nods-

Here I have one!

A woman died. She has two sisters. In her funeral, a handsome man visited. The two sisters chatted with him and got to know him better. Some time after the funeral, the sisters tried to kill each other. Why is that?

So of one of them dies there will be another funeral

There was a tired man from work. So he checked in a very nice hotel. You know, very high-tech ones. So he got his key and went to the room 101 and opened the door. He took a shower. When he got out of the bathroom, he saw a James Bond box or a briefcase. Inside it were two skulls: one female, one male. He got scared so he jumped off the window and died. Now, what are the lies there

One night, a man receives a call from the Police. The Police tell the man that his wife was murdered, and that he should reach the crime scene as soon as possible. The man drops the phone, shocked, and drives 20 minutes to the crime scene. As soon as he reaches the crime scene, the police arrest him, and he is convicted of murder. How did the police know that he committed the crime?
