Good day everyone~ Cuddlebump here!

I have been a fan of visual novels for a short amount of time - roughly a year, maybe?
I am 19 years old from England. I used to be heavily into anime and manga but as I got older that started to wane, I have short bursts of nerdgasms over anime every once in a while.

I love sci-fi and fantasy genres of film and book. I currently study media at college, but I recently found out that my talents naturally lie in the field of language, so i will be changing my focus of study soon.

The main thing I fan girl over is a Japanese Idol group called Morning Musume, my avatar is my current oshimen within the group; her name is Iikubo Haruna.

Welcome! I also have the comes-and-goes-with-the-tide interest in watching anime. I'll usually get obsessive and then have to take a long break. I sometimes wonder if it's because real life just can't compare and I start getting depressed.

Ooh Morning Musume. I'm starting to seriously look into different groups as I'm thinking of doing a j-pop/rock and k-pop/rock show soon (I do internet DJing) and I want to have a good variety. I'll have to check them out!

In regards to anime I also have long spans without it, and then suddenly go crazy over a couple of fandoms ^.^

I DJ with GridStream Productions which is a gaming radio station. I'm associated with The Secret World channel. We don't record our shows, but I do a pscyhobilly show live each week. We have a lot of playlist time right now (need moar DJs! ) so we can do extra shows whenever the stream is open and I like to have fun with genres I enjoy but don't normally play. Of course, I think the perfect medium for this style of music is video because the dancing is half the fun! Dancing... so precise! Outfits... too cute! ::nosebleed::

@Ace of Hearts: Although it's mainly comedy, my favourite 'sci-fi' books were the Red Dwarf series, they got me really absorbed in the stories, which hasn't happened in a long time.
For film/television it HAS to be Firefly! If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it!

I totally agree, some anime can be much better than live action. i hate it when people dismiss it as either hentai or childish. >.<

My talent in language is something I have only recently realized, thus far I don't know any other than English, but my french teacher told me that foreign languages just seem to come naturally, and I understood language patterns and speech faster than others. The same happened when I began learning Japanese.

I still have to continue my studies, but I aim to be a translator when I am older!
