A bit nervous...

Yo and hello all,

I'll be honest, I'm a little nervous appearing on a forum (I usually just tend to lurk around). But I figured hey, why not get to know some people that are apart of the fandom?

I just adore otome games and I'm slowly growing my collection. :3 (I can list them off, if you'd like, but it's still small! )

Admittedly, I tend to wait for some games to pop on ebay to get them a bit cheaper...But I'm sure many of us are in that boat!

My first otome game: Storm Lover Natsu Koi (I AM SO EXCITED FOR STORM LOVER 2ND).

I am in the middle of playing various games (like storm lover kai, Amnesia, and Hakuoiki eng. version), so I really need to buckle down and finish them all up! ... However I'm currently replaying Crisis Core and trying to get 100% on all the missions, haha.

I love Japanese music, I'm really into cosplay and I plan to cosplay as Orion (from Amnesia) in the near future.

What else...Man I dunno!

I'm not sure who my favorite voice actor is yet but I do love me some drama CDs (if anyone knows where I can buy some in bulk, please let me know)

...Does anyone else wish that Kuroko no basket was an otome game? ;3; !!


Last but not least...I think it'd be fun if everyone would post vocab list, phrases, slang, interesting grammar from games.

I'll be honest I picked up otome games because I need an "audio book" to help with my kanji reading. I feel much more comfortable with listening and speaking than reading.

gurll, i've talked to many otoge friends in my life but none of them ever suggested for me to buy from ebay for otoge LOL there's always the possibility of it not being an actually legitemate copy, and the prices are usually ridic. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has very good prices for otoge, but things sell out fast so you need to be careful! they also offer pre-order bonuses + a postcard usually, so it's really cool. i ordered my Black Wolves Saga -Last Hope- copy from here.

also you plan on cosplaying orion?!?!?!? that sounds really cute, i'd like to see pictures when you do it if you don't mind!

Not too outrageous-- pretty normal, I'd say? I used EMS with my Last Hope copy and it ended up being like 76 dollars I think :X that's good prices brand-new-otoge-way, but I can see how it'd be a bit hard for someone else... it's a little hard to find cheap PSP games but I oftentimes find Global Rakuten otoge for really cheap, my friend's bought from there before and said Surugaya-a-too (one of Rakuten's sellers) was legit despite its ridiculously low prices too. Also, if you wanna wait, Amiami also puts sales on otoge it can't sell. BWS LE was on sale for like 25% for like months after it coming out I think. I wanted to buy it just because I thought it was a good deal LOL (I got a TYB PC game for like 25 dollars from AmiAmi one time it was like the best deal ever)

So.... I googled that second word and the web didn't give me a definition so I figured, "Oh, that's fine. I can figure it out from the images." So, yep, I now think I might have an idea as to what it might mean. D:
