Even though they look the same, their personalities are complete opposites. While it might seem familiar, you will be able to enjoy the elements of surprise—with "gem language" as the motif. The story takes place in two worlds. The men you see in your "dream" are all wild or dangerous, while the ones in "reality" are gentle and refreshing. Re: Jewelic Nightmare
Ah, seen this pop up. Faintly intrigued so far, but I'll be more curious once we get to see what seiyuus get slated for this and what teaser pics show up and that sorta thing.
(The whole dream setup sorta reminds me of Garnet Cradle.)

I'm sensing some do-s situations. Color me vaguely interested, although I hope that Heroine here has more of a backbone than, say, Diabolik Lover's MC.

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
I'm so sold by this game because of the fact it involves gemstones. One of my interests is in gemmology, so this is like one of those "dream come true" games to me. Can't wait for the cast announcements!
I do hope the protagonist is much more assertive than Yui. I really do. I don't want to be disappointed by this game...
...And yes, Adams, the diamond guy, is pretty darn hot. (。♥‿♥。)

Oh, nightmare side. I am seriously loving the Nightmare Side. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I don't like the clean-cut shotas at all, but the expression of the Nightmare Sapphire (I'm guessing) is gorgeous. He's like a cross between Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian.
The Diamond guy and the colorful gem guy are my favorites in terms of appearance.

^ Yeah, I totally agree with you about Nightmare Sapphire. Do-S monocle, anyone? Does that count as Do-S Megane, haha? The cheeky/naughty vibes coming from Sapphire will land me back in jail again, haha. >_<

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
This will be a really interesting game. Sadly, it will probably never get an English release, which means I'll never get a chance at it ^^;
That's cool that you are into gemology. That's something I know nothing about. Are you more interested in the scientific, the aesthetic, or the spiritual aspect of gemstones?

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
If a hacker likes it enough to hack it, I'd be happy to translate it. Sadly, I have no idea of how to hack, let alone make a patch. >_<
I'd say all of the above, but I guess I'm mostly fascinated by their appearances. Coming in second would be the scientific aspects, and last would be the spiritual aspects/crystal healing.
I'm reading [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] about gemstone meanings. It'll be interesting to see how well-executed JN is in this regard. Maybe Japan has their own significances attached, but I've never heard of anything like that.

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
Good! I'll hold you to that! XD
Neither have I. I wonder where the majority of gemstone meanings/energy theories/etc. come from. Is there any culture in particular known for gemology? A lot of "new age" stuff comes from Native American spiritual traditions, but I don't believe I've heard anything about that being the case for gems.

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
Gemstone "spiritual culture", i.e., crystal therapy, spiritual therapy, etc. doesn't have one particular origin. Greek, Indian and Egyptian cultures are thought to be the origins/pioneers. That being said, that refers more to gemstones in relation to astrology. It's easy to find information on gemstones' spiritual therapeutic stuff, but it doesn't seem like the cultures surrounding "personalities" and so on is very widespread or explored.
That's why I'm even more intrigued by Jewelic Nightmare. I'm wondering what their sources are, if any. Maybe they'll rely heavily on spiritual gemmology in relation to astrology. At worst, it'd be a Starry Sky clone, but with gemstones instead! I'm fine with Starry Sky, but I think cloning games would be just cheap.

While I'm only interested with Reiichirou, the Nightmare side are worth gushing for. :3c
I'm excited how they're gonna pull this gems off. 8D

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
I agree. I love Starry Sky, but this game will be a lot stronger if they do something completely original with it.
Crap, now I'm all excited for a game that I might never get to play XD

THE ARTIST DROPPED HER MANGA SHINIGAMI DOGGY FOR THIS GAME. I WAS SCANLATING IT AND ONE DAY SHE JUST DROPPED OFF THE FAITH OF THE EARTH ;A;
IT BETTER BE WORTH IT!

I'm pretty interested in seeing how this game will turn out, it looks interesting and the gems are a pretty touch, but the eyes look like kaleidoscopes and that bothers me. @A@

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
^ I know what you mean, bro. I usually don't like multi-coloured or eye designs that have "silly shit" in them. Like Haruka from Uta no Prince-sama. Which reminds, I'm sick of otome game protagonists having mid-length, bob cut-like hair! /another topic altogether, ends rant.
Depends on how "literally" connected the characters are to gemstones, I'll decide then and there if the "silly shit" in their eye designs can be justifiable to me. I mean, Adams is still a sexy mo-fo.

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to update those that don't know already that some wallpapers have been uploaded and a website for their drama CD range has been launched!
I'm not really into drama CDs (hence why I don't go nuts over limited and/or first press editions of VNs), but it would be a good preview of what's to come in the games, I'd think.

Re: Jewelic Nightmare
Some more site updates, and boy did we get one of the most exciting news: the cast!
* Cast *
Sumeragi Sei'ichirou/Adamas: KENN
Togari Kou/Ruu: Kakihara Tetsuya
Sumihara Aoshi/Saphy (or Saphi): Suzuki Yuuto
Sensui Takuma/Emer: Yoshino Hiroyuki
Ayase Nanami/Alen (or Allen): Hatano Wataru
Carmine Joushu (Lord of the Castle): Tsuda Kenjirou
That's a pretty neat cast! I'm so happy thatDino KENN is voicing Sei-kun/Adams. It will be interesting to see how well everybody pulls off the normal-to-Do-S roles. I certainly know Yoshino Hiroyuki will do fine, and I think Kakihara Tetsuya should be okay, too. Am I the only person that thinks Kakihara Tetsuya sounds a bit like a younger Yusa Kouji in some of his roles? Maybe I'm nutes.

Have I expressed how much I adored Nightmare Sapphire's design lately? No? Then, oh my god, Nightmare Sapphire. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I'm not too familiar with the cast though, so I shall keep quiet for now.

Yup. Serious SWAG, right there. I love monocles... and there are two characters with them in JN. Though Adamans is a sexy beast, and voiced by KENN. I'm sold, bro.
Am I the only one that thinks that the Nightmare designs is reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland-type clothing?

How have I never heard of any of these people before? And I'm usually so good with voice actors...
Well, I guess I know what I'm going to do at work today!
Re: Jewelic Nightmare
I figured I'd post a link to the ANN bios of each of the voice actors, in case any one is as clueless as me and wants to see who else these people voice:

^ That's a good idea.
Maybe I just happen to be familiar with the majority of them. I've heard of Suzuki Yuuto, but I haven't actually played or watched anything he's performed in. I'm kind of glad somebody other than Shimono Hiro or Yonaga Tsubasa is the "token shota" characters. I have nothing against the two, but I just want to hear somebody different.

I was gonna quietly ignore this, but then Otomate decided to stick Kakki, Waccha, and TsudaKen all in the same game. They must be out for my money soul (´;ω;`)
