Overview:Henry and Morgana Keating were archaeologists and adventurers who never came home. Now their daughter intends to follow in their footsteps...
It's 1930, and as the world slides ever deeper into the Great Depression, Scheherazade 'Sadie' Keating sets out on her first year of college - a year of travel, romance, danger and discovery. Together with friends and family, she'll chase her parents' last mystery across five continents, and choose a future for herself along the way.
1931: Scheherazade at the Library of Pergamum is the latest story-driven RPG from Black Chicken Studios, Inc., spinning tales of pulp adventure, exotic locations, occult horror, and sweet romance that'll require well-honed skills and a whole lot of inspiration.

Ah, I started playing this sometime ago. While the plot seemed interesting, the gameplay turned me off with its complexity ORZ

Seems very interesting. Good on her for staying on track during the times when women were pressured to marry and stay home. Gotta wonder which dude will be the sexist one.
I'm just going to pretend my vote matters and "subtly hint" that the dude with the bandages looks wicked, and should be pursued. Even if he is sexist.
And yes, I'm ruining more lives by subscribing to this LP as well.

Oh, I know this game... but the gameplay seems complicated though. I suck at stat-raising already, not so sure I'll be able to keep up with this game style >_<

I hope it's as complex as what I've been reading about it.
EDIT:
Forget I said anything. It is difficult and the tutorial is hard to understand (too much information) The best way is to... play ?
So I ended up playing it while taking notes about each quest's required Stats/Skills, and went for... Roland ! The English Arsen Lupin !

Sadie meets him during her high school graduation party (Actually, she surprises him looting her father's library
)
Later, it is at the library where you meet him again: He lends you the book you're looking for.
Then in Egypte: Roland and his blond-friend (Bernard ?) are also in Egypt... such a coincidence ! You can go on an adventure inside a pyramide with him, helping each other overcoming traps and discovering The Lost King and his Ankhst artefact. An of course Roland saves your life~
Back to New York, you stay in the library after the closing time, searching things about the Lost King, and you surpise two thieves breaking in
Of course, you're spotted but manage to escape and meet... Roland ! He was acually working with the thieves ?!

Some night later, and more studying, you're at a club/bar and spot Roland and his two buddies... drunk.

They are talking about the treasures they are about to send somewhere and you want to take a look at them. Pretending to be drunk as well, you fall in one of the dude's arms and steal a statuette or something while he tries to kiss you (I think he was even quite successfull when my stats weren't enough ha-ha...
)

Running away, you are however caught by Roland who was also pretending to be drunk... and you give him back the statue, but you still snatch an Auction House Tag in Sydney!
So, next trip is to... Australia o/
In Australia, the story begins to be more interesting. Sadie meets Roland at a fancy party for important people and he is... blackmailing someone ?!
And then Sadie infiltrates an underground auction house where you have to take the right choices if you want to keep your body parts together:

Who would have the balls to chose the first choice anyway ?
(And by the way, that "Australian Hoodlum's name is Terrence, and he's a good guy actually)
So who did you say invited you ? (No One !!

Terrence lets you enter within the Lion den, except what awaits you are gangsters and a "cold killer" with lots of scars, and who's there to blow Sadie's cover ? tu-duh-duuuum

Meeting your ex-archeology teacher at a mobster gathering doesn't even startle you one bit...

Yeah, while you on the contrary fits here perfectly.
So anyway, after a few choices (interrogation) you manage to find the Boss' office and go there to submit your "illegal treasure to sell". But a big surprise awaits you there: Roland or Rowan is working with the Boss (Robertson) who seems to trust Roland-or Rowan a lot. Is your cover blown ? Damn Roland-or Rowan !

But of course, Roland helps you keep your cover and your identity (Silly you was about to give her real name
)
So Gwen Dale and Rowan are allowed to have some "private time" and they decide to break in an important Egyptian guest office and the some dates about a lost artefact related to the "Lost King" (The King you were investigating when in Egypt with Roland). Sadie-Gwen and Roland-Rowan get the papers and head towards the important Turkish gust who trades those information for the ones he has about the Anhkst (The artefact). Your next destination is... Turky
Feeling bad because you're feeling too good there, you ask Roland-Rowan to help you leave with your stuff. You work with your "grace" stats/inspi and a fight breaks between the Egyptian an Turkish important guest.
When you take your leave, you learn that Roland might be working as a thief for the English Crown.

There is an other adventure with Roland, since he came with you to Australia as your bodyguard and luggage-slave. I'll post it later (Something with kidnappings, chasing cars, radio-spying and cigar smoking) this post is already long enough

Ah, I have this VN too,but its so complicated 
I reaaaallly don't get how I'm supposed to play,which stats I have to increase by when,etc. If someone could clearly explain I would be grateful. I never found a clear walkthrough either.
The first guy I went after was Roland too,he seemed most interesting to me,you know,mysterious gentleman.

You need to work on the stats you'll need on the adventures you'll be taking.
For example, the first Roland adventure demands certain stats to attain 7 to 10 points plus the stress malus.
LVL 1:
Problem solving or Patience or Tolerance: 7points
LVL 2:
Leaping or Grace: 7points
LVL 3:
Probleme Solving or Poise: 7points
LVL 4:
Language: 9points
LVL 5:
Awareness or Self-Knowledge or Courage: 10points
Roland Relationship after Egypt's Adventures: 15 points
No resting between the level of this Adventure.
Points are your skills converted: 100 skills equals 10 points in an obstacle. Easy, right ? So if an obstacle asks 7points for a level, you have to get 70points in your skills or get special cards (Called Inspirations). Those cards give you temporary points for an obstacle to complete your points. (No need to convert them though)
Before beginning an adventure you have to check the Stats needed (Hover over the Adventure Card and they'll appear), and check your Stress Points !!
Why ? Because stress adds points obstacles. I'll explain:
If the first lvl on an adventure asks for 4 points in Grace you'll then need 40 Skill points or a Card Inspiration to get those 4 Grace points, right ? BUT !! If you have 4 Stress points, it will be added to what is being asked: So instead of 4 Grace points to pass, you'll need 8 Grace points.
Choices during an adventure:
During the adventure you'll have choices to make: They are important because they'll give you Relationship Poins with the Guy accompanying you. (Or you can fail an adventure or they give you points in certain Skills)
So, in fact you have to play the game once in order to know what kind of obstacles awaits you and what skills are needed for each guy's adventure.
Since I'm already taking notes for Roland's Story (Easy), I can share them, but we seriously need a Walkthrough. (I only found one for the Mummmy-guy, Ahmose)
