I've been trying to get into some Korean food. A buddy of mine took me to this awesome korean place and I found a love of radish kimchee. I'm not into cabbage kimchee or so I found out. Its hard for me to get out of my comfort zone with certain pickled foods. My mom used to pickle carrots and daikons soooo I haven't really found a recipe I really like or a place that taste similar to my mom's pickling. I grew up in a semi traditional Vietnamese household.

I probably should take pics of before and after make up clients/friends.
I love Michelle Phan. She's cute and her tutorials rock. I'll have to check out Pony.

Welll it was advertised as a 'studio' but was in fact more similar to a closet lol. Move-out date is close though so looking forward to it! (Shame though cos I'll miss my area - v central!)

Cool, I like radish kimchee too! Yar, pickled foods are very much down to personal taste. I personally love cabbage kimchee but have found certain places that don't do it so well which can be off-putting but

I play League with my bf. He got me into it. Maybe I'll try picking up Dota again. Its so fast paced. mou~

Yeah, growing up I had a lot of Vietnamese food.
I was only allowed to eat "American or other ethnicity" foods on the weekend.
My parent's came to America during the war so they were traditional with some things.
Now that I'm an adult all I want is home cooking. Crying

I was USAF. I'm in Nebraska. My bf is still in and that is why I'm still here. Crying

Yup my guy is USAF as well smile

we love the weather here but the area well is kinda boring. I'm guessing your from the south for missing it, we are from NJ so it's VERY quiet here compared to what we re used to but we are luckily between all our families smile

I'm glAd people are around my age though because I always feel weird being the way oldest person around lol

Nebraska's too quiet compared to being from Florida.
Its colder too.
I guess I've gotten used to being here.
Most of the friends I made in this state aren't really into the same things that I'm into.

You are preaching to the choir here. I am not into the same thing as anyone here. I mean I made a few friends but everyone just kind of knows everyone cause of the area.

Honestly, from my point of view I hate the snow. I do not even like the cold though, I'm a summer gal. Its wet needs to be shoveled and is a hassle.

Actually I wouldn't mind summer all year round but that's totally my preference smile

Everyone's eaten snow before, where I live now they make snow ice cream I we get any.

Everyone's pretty basic here and the conventions, in the area, aren't really that great in my opinion.

All people do in my area is drink and that's pretty much it.
Nothing wrong with it.
It becomes boring after a while.
I miss my nerdy friends in Florida. Bleh

I think its good. I don't care for winter, but I like all the other seasons. smile

I like snow on snow cones when it's hot outside.

I don't like it when it snows in the state I live in. sad

I like to cook Thịt Kho. Its a vietnamese dish that includes hard boiled eggs and pork.
It doesn't smell pleasant to people who are not used to fish sauce, but it's so yummy.
