Hello, everyone!

This list used to be fused with my seiyuu aliases list, but unfortunately, both lists started to get too long and I had to separate them. If you're looking for the cast lists of otome games, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Hope this thread will be useful to you guys! If you see any mistakes, please don't hesitate to correct me. Also, suggestions for list additions are totally welcome, and you'll be credited if you so choose.

Everyone listed here has been involved in an otome game or drama CD.

No worries, vocaotome! Glad I could help. This list has come from my years of playing, since it's hard to keep track of this stuff even if you know Japanese. Especially since I double-check for accuracy.

Oh, and I'm thinking of merging my cast lists with this one, so people can search for a game they have played here, and check out the seiyuu for themselves. Most cast lists are in Japanese unless you're lucky enough to encounter an English fan that translated them.

wow this is very helpful,, always curious every time I find pseudonym in the game r18, I just know some of their pseudonyms,daisuke Hirakawa and toriumi kousuke voice most easily recognizable,thanks!

When was this thread a thing? Doesn't matter because it's an awesome thing. The alias bit, especially. Now I can track down all my favorites, heheh. 8D

Yesterday I came across the "Names to Know in Anime" page on TV Tropes and they have quite the list of seiyuu and voice actors. And then they had a part for VAs who have passed away. It was a somewhat depressing thought. :x

On a happier note, Laramie has done a crazy awesome job, YET AGAIN~.

OMG never would have thought that I've been mixing the seiyuu's and their characters! Like, FukuJun as Iroha when it should be Mizuchi (to think I'm currently playing the game) and Sakupyon as Subaru (...wth me orz) >_<

As an uber Ishida Akira fan, I'm pretty sure the 623 isn't an alias he used for himself but rather an alias one of his character used as a radio talk show host in Keroro Gunsou. This isn't to say they don't have KG radio drama disks with him simply identifying himself as 623. That would be entirely appropriate considering the vastness and the themes of the series. But I'm reasonably certain that that is the origin of the 623.

...Elsewise even in his *ahem* other seiyuu showings, I've only ever seen him show up labled as himself. (Which sort sucks 'cause I'd love to know what aliases he might have used.)

Yeah, some of these names are pretty funny. For instance, Suzuki Tatsuhisa also goes by "Tadanano Doutei" which translates to "Just a Virgin."

EDIT: It looks like I made an error with Suwabe Jun'ichi having an alias, "Tom Cruise". It's supposed to be a pun of Tom Cruise- "Tom Kunoreeze". Sorry, guys! >_<

It is! If I'm to get technical, it's because when the katakana for "no" and "re" are stuck together, it looks a lot like "ru".

chiruchan, I think I've found out who "検見川雄馬 (Kemigawa Ouma?)" is.

The users on Yahoo! Japan seems to think that Kemigawa Ouma <=> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. I checked out what anime Inoue-san has been in, and since I've watched both seasons of Code Geass, I do remember what Schneizel el Britannia sounded like. I went to Inoue-san's profile and cross-referenced those voice samples with the drama CD sample. It seems like they match quite well, and it's likely that Yahoo! Japan is on the money.

Unfortunately, it's practically impossible to know for 100% certain if an alias truly applies to the actor unless the actor themselves, their manager, their agency, etc. confirms it, which rarely, if ever, happens.

No worries! I'm totally the same. I have this master Word document with cast lists, female and male seiyuu (and their aliases). I'm a stalker waiting to happen, LOL. :S

I see Kaji Yuuki's alias up there hehehe ヘ(￣ω￣ヘ) I wish he did more R-18 roles... The only one I know of is this BL game called Nessa no Rakuen.

The only R18+ otome game he's in is Vampire Sweetie, but he's not a love interest character, plus there's no H-scenes featuring his character. That's what I heard of, anyway, I haven't actually played it myself. Still, it's very disappointing. He's in my "Making Me Sad Panda for Not Playing an R18+ Character" category alongside the GREAT AND HOLY Sakurai Takahiro... :'(

This list is great and helps me a lot haha. Since my japanese is not the best yet, I usually search the kanjis in the name individually in a dictionary (usually jiisho), throw them on google and hope for the best XD

For searching kanji, unless you're very proficient with the kanji dictionary (I've been exposed to Japanese for years and I'm still a snail with that thing), I recommend [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] search engine. All you have to do is choose a couple of radicals and hit "Find". It should narrow down the kanji to just a hundred (or even less!) if you pick the right search parameters. It sounds complicated, but once you use it, it's much easier than a kanji dictionary. At least, for me it is.

Also, you can try just copy-pasting the kanji name into the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], where the website will show you all of the possible readings for each kanji entered. This way, you can make an educated guess as to what the pronunciation would be.

The simplest method is copy-pasting the name into the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] search, where common readings for the name may come up. This is the easiest way, but sadly, useless for "pun" aliases.

I love Prof. Breen's database. I highly, highly recommend it for all Japanese learners. Hope you don't mind my random unsolicited advice!

Perhaps I should make a post about strategies on how to work seiyuu aliases!
