Hi hi! is a very creative title :D

I usually don't make introduction posts, because I never know what to say. But let's try this time! Maybe I'll find a friend or two, who's interested in similar things.

I'm not in the anime/manga/drama CD world for a long time yet, just a little bit over 3 years and it was a while until I discovered visual novels. I say visual novels, because I'm a fan of both, otome and BL. I also played Fate Stay Night, which is an eroge, so I guess you can say I tried (almost) everything :D

My first otome game was Hatoful Boyfriend - awesome idea! (I loved the sequel, too!) Then I also tried some free English games and really enjoyed Re:Allistar (even though I have a feeling I didn't finish all routes yet). I played Star Project for a while as well, but then stopped for a lack of time. I had an opportunity to try Yo-jin-bo and the game itself was very funny (the jokes in it were very amusing), but I didn't finish it (yet).

Sadly, since I only have PC (i.e. laptop) to play VN on, my choices are quite limited. I have a good listening comprehension (not perfect just yet, but one day I'll get there :D), but kanji... (I'm currently trying to learn kanji with Wanikani), so I don't want to buy games just yet. Therefore, I didn't play many (not to mention I'm personally very picky about cast for anything I listen to and that includes VNs). So I'm making my first bought otome game Dot Kareshi (especially since the price is (almost) the same as for one hour long drama CD/BLCD and you get a drama CD and a short game for it). I'm really looking forward to it! The character design is really nice and while I'm not fond of all seiyuu, I decided to try all 3 anyway, because warped characters are warped characters (also do-M Hirakawa Daisuke will be priceless... hopefully :D)

That said, I'm a big fan of seiyuu, so my exposure to "otome things" are mostly otome CDs or otome games adapted into animes. My favourite is Harukanaru Toki no Naka de~

I wrote a lot... :D

Welcome to Otome Hearts!! I hope you'll like it here ^p^

My first otoge was Hatoful Boyfriend, as well! I didn't expect much from it but it sure exceeded my expectations- there is humor in it, but they also put in a serious plot that made me really attached to the characters for almost a year (it's hard for me to get attached to things for long periods of time!)

There are loads of good PC visual novels, not limited to doujin releases, you know! It just depends on your ability to speak/read other languages, I guess... The most recently released big-name(I guess) visual novel I've heard of for the PC was Tiny x Machine gun~ You should look into that.

Who are your favorite seiyuu, if I may ask? I always like hearing about these kinds of things ^p^

Thank you!

Yeah, I expected mostly crack from HB, but it ended up being really good.

I know there are good VNs for PC and I've heard about Tiny x Machine Gun. It looks really good, but I expect the language to be quite advanced. And tbh I would be interested only in Nojima Kenji's Heinz. The incest thing is also not really my thing (but maybe it's not real incest?) I was thinking about trying Starry Sky, but I'm afraid it would be too sweet :D One day, I'll play Autumn, though.

But yeah, I'm mostly limited thanks to my lacking Japanese skills. The upcoming Ken ga Kimi looks great as well, though, but the language will be way too hard for me Crying

No, of course I don't mind you asking. My favourites are Nojima Kenji, Ono Yuuki, Ishida Akira, Yusa Kouji, Hirakawa Daisuke and others, but these ones could be considered my top 5. What about yours?

Ah, yeah, I can see what you mean- even if you know a lot of Japanese the language they use in it is pretty crime-fighting related so there may be a lot of words you don't know- (I probably would not be able to read anything LOL) Although I don't know the exact details of Sakurai nii-san's route, I think they're only half-siblings.

Yeah, Starry Sky isn't a game to play if you want something other than sweet high school romance... there's some drama too, but a lot of it is sappy sweet, but it varies from character to character.

Ah, that's a really cool favorites list! We share Ishida Akira in common ^p^ Ishida Akira and Hosoya Yoshimasa are my two top favorites, but recently I've taken to Kakihara Tetsuya and Takahiro Sakurai too.. Generally I like voices when they are not very low (yet not too high either!) and kind. There are some exceptions (ok I like Ishida Akira in nearly every role, I admit I _(:3/ <)_ ) but I pretty much stick to that guideline.
(p.s. I've been seeing Nojiken in a lot of roles lately... what are your favorite roles of his?)

Yeah, one time I listened to a BLCD where both characters were detectives and while I could understand everything that was happening in their relationship, I mostly didn't know the vocabulary they used for solving a case, so I only got like 20% of the whole story...

Sakurai Takahiro was the first seiyuu I started to like, but soon, he moved down in my list, but I'm still very fond of him!

If we're only talking about otome CDs, it would be Seventh Heaven's Akira. (That song I love you And because I love characters like Akira - tsundere and cold - this volume really fit into my taste~) But I loved the teacher in Mikkai as well! (even though I liked Ono Yuuki's volume more; I didn't listen to the 1st and 4th)
In anime, it would be Ginoza Nobuchika from Psycho-Pass. I really love his deeper voice!

Ohh, I agree totally about Seventh Heaven- Nojiken's role in it was amazing! His song is my favorite so far in the series, too- I feel like they made very good use of his voice. (Though Hinata is my favorite, personality-wise...)
