Well, same as @chairrypie and @ellyphs..Pacthesis and Zeiva , my favourite otome rpg/flash maker...Both of them are so addicting to play.

For me, it was Seduce Me from Michaela Laws. While browsing through Steam I have found a lot of commercial games but can't buy since I am broke.

Hmm, my first otome games were pacthesis' games! Oh you~

As for official localized ones I think the first I played was Hakuouki.
The first time I played through it.. I was so emotionally invested.
I still love to replay it and it never gets old for me. Ehehe~

Hakuouki. I watched the first season of the anime beforehand, but decided to hold off on the second season until I finished the game.

Like most newbies, I got the normal end on my first playthrough. Still one of the saddest, most beautiful stories I've ever read.

The first was Starry Sky in Spring. Came across the anime first (which I decided to watch because of the voice actors), and even though it was nothing spectacular, I got interested in a few characters. It was luck that 2 out of the 3 characters I was interested in are part of the Spring game, that has English translation. smile

Otherwise, most likely I wouldn't have gotten into otoges.

Those made me curious if there were any sim date games for girls... Took me several years to discover a few flash otome games, Harvest Moon MFoMT, then TMGS 1. My Japanese skills were nearly non-existent back then but I loved the TMGS series so much, my fate was sealed. Embarassed/ Kyaa!

my first otome would be Amnesia: Memories,, the anime wasn't satisfying for me so i felt the need to buy and experience the whole actual plot!! it was on sale too haha

Not really sure if this totally fits the otome genre, but Princess Maker 2 was the first game I played that had some dating elements in it. (Because you can get your daughter to marry a variety of characters, such as the prince or a young dragon.)

My first otome game was a free to play game- The Cinderella Contract. The first game I paid for was Voltage's Be My Princess 2.

I think my first was Cute Knight, if that can be considered an otome. No / shakes head

There are multiple endings for the MC, and not all of them romantic. So I guess it's more of a princess maker game than an otome.

It was very funny and didn't take anything seriously. But still it was good and interesting read and I loved it, though my heroine died many times then... Very Mad

It was much more time later that I found there's this thing called walkthrough.
I blame Ittousai for my otome games obsession. Embarassed/ Kyaa!

My very first Otome game that I played was "Angelique" on the Super Nintendo Love it!

I'm still playing it (On my computer with emulator) and my fave guy in the game is 'Marcel' I love you

I think him and Angelique looks soo cute together smile

The music in Angelique is amazing too I love you

My second Otome game that I played after "Angelique" is "Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~ PC"
