I'm Making a manga!!

Hey everyone~!
i'm making a romance manga in a traditional Japanese setting.
I have some ideas as to characters,apparel and a bit of a story but..
I still need some mangas in that genre to look to as inspiration
it would be good if they had romance in them as well
*And yes i have read Hakuoki *

hmm, I looked at the list that I have read and I can recommend Kamisama Hajimemashita (shoujo genre), Shinsengumi Imon Peace Maker (shounen genre with side romance) and there's Hoozuki no Reitetsu (general)

..I kind of forgot what else have traditional Japanese setting/style..

Whoa~ Alot of those are new to me although i've heard of kamisama hajimemashita but i have not yet read it. thank you so much i bet they will help~ ^D^

Kamisama Hajimemashita have the anime version (already completed) and Hoozuki will be animated at January, so you can watch the anime if you prefer animated rather than manga~
I tried looking for more but I don't have such luck, most historical tagged manga are western-background manga

Thats great. Saiunkoku Monogatari might be a good example but it doesn't have lots of romance in it -sighs- but it is quite nice. hope i helped.

Rather than read other manga for inspiration, I think it'd be best for you to directly research the historical period of Japan where you plan to set it. I get that you're looking to them for small ideas, but I still think it's best to be inspired by verifiable fact.
