Hello!

Hello everyone! Nice to meet you! You can call me Pomlio, or Plateau (which is what I go by on Tumblr). I'm 20 years old, and I'm currently an undergraduate studying anthropology and Medieval and Renaissance studies (and more languages than are strictly necessary for either).

I had literally never heard of an otome game until about a year ago, when a friend of mine introduced me to Hatoful Boyfriend, and I didn't really become interested in the larger genre until I started watch the Amnesia anime (and now I'm hooked and can't escape). So I'm a complete otome newbie, and I am slowly introducing myself to the genre through the various free English games I can find (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
So far I've played Hatoful Boyfriend and it's sequel Holiday Star, Cafe Rouge, Days of the Divine, and part of The Knife of the Traitor.

Besides playing otome games, I like to waste my time playing other types of video games, watching anime, cartoons, and other TV shows (like Supernatural and Sherlock and such), and reading. I've also been trying to write more again lately, and as such occasionally produce drabbles of variable quality. I also like to make silly things in MS Paint sometimes. (I especially like to take screencaps of Shin and write sassy things on top of them. Maybe that's what I'll do for my avatar).

Anyway, I am excited to now be a member of this forum, and I hope we can be friends!

I actually was going to be an anthropology major, but I realized it may not be for me. Still taking a class on it though.

Oh you definitely will find yourself spiraling into madness. It's quite fun!

Even if it ends up not being your major, I think it can be valuable to take an anthropolgy course! Of course I do, I'm an anthro major. I hope it's still interesting

Welcome to the forum Pomlio. I'll definitely watch your descent because we'll both be falling lol. There is plenty to check out around here, so you shouldn't run out of games to play for a while yet. Even if you do, come share your gaming experiences with us. We're more than happy to listen and add commentary.
