I Only Date Free - Free! Iwatobi Swim Cub Dating Sim

So, I don't know how many of you know about this, but there's a group of people making a dating sim of everyone's beloved swimming anime!

They released a demo download, and I'm going to jump on that and play it probably as soon as I finish making this post. I just thought it was the kind of thing to share here.

All I can say is... I really hope they don't flanderize the characters. Haha. That tends to happen in fanmade projects.

Well, now we have a topic for this game so... yay?

I finished the demo in like 10 minutes but that's because it only went up to choosing your route.

It seems pretty cool anyway. They said the full will probably take until the end of the year at least, so until then I'm just keeping up with their updates.

It seems like its pretty interesting and I love how their artists stayed as true to the original characters as they could   I'm looking forward to this game!

Agreed. I had been worried about characterization at first but it seems like they did pretty well staying true to the canon characterization, so I'm super happy with that.

I'm just looking forward to Rei, Rin and Haru's routes now   but then again Nagisa is a cute shota but Makoto is just so nice...yepp I'm fickle   

I'm personally looking forward to all of the routes. I'm a completionist anyway. Haha.

I'm really happy that there's gonna be a Kou route though. I enjoy yuri options. Even if it's just a hard sismance, it's nice to see.

i like the demo but i'm a little weirded out by the different art for each character! still, though, it looks like that they're putting a lot of work into this. ^^

It's a bit strange when all the characters are drawn so different, I agree. But they have a lot of artists with a lot of different styles working on it, so that's to be expected. And it would probably take at least a year longer if they only used one artist.

That's true but it looks like each individual artist tried their best to stick to one style, I'd say its a really touching effort.
